Warrior’s Journey
The mythic Warrior’s Journey serves as a powerful vehicle for perceiving and exploring contemporary warfare and its residual effects on our veterans, their families and our entire society. The Journey encompasses the experiences of Separation, Ordeal and Homecoming. In studying this framework, we can examine war-related traumatic wounds, identity disruption and soul loss in the context of a human being’s larger life experience. You can learn how to identify when and how in a Warrior’s Journey the potential crisis in identity, self and soul can occur, and how a person can become stuck in one place. And we begin to develop a new perspective regarding PTSD .
