Fundraising Committee
As VHG is working towards obtaining non-profit status and newly planned programs need support, the Fundraising Committee must intensify our pace. For example, funds we raise will provide scholarships for Veterans to attend the Healing Retreat scheduled for October, pay printing costs for brochures and posters, pay fees required to issue ceu’s for professional trainings (which are fundraisers!), pay fees associated with obtaining non-profit status, pay for print ads to spread the word about our programs.
Some project ideas include:
1) obtaining donations from community businesses, individual donors, and foundations, 2) Member programs and fundraisers (silent auctions, dinners, fees from continuing education programs, book sales, etc.), and 3) development of short and long-term fundraising plans.
We need your time, your talents, your contacts! Those who cannot physically attend meetings are encouraged to join us, maintain phone contact, and work with tasks of your chosing. No task is too small! And we treasure your ideas.
